MUMBAI, 4th JANUARY, 2024 (GPN): The Indian jewellery industry is undergoing an unprecedented transformation towards organising their operations and managing products, technology and people optimally. The Retail Jeweller MD & CEO Awards 2024, held at the JW Marriott, Sahar in Mumbai on January 3, upheld the distinguished contributions by MDs and CEOs – leaders whose vision has increased the cumulative market-share of jewellery in luxury and lifestyle verticals in India over the last year.

Be it independent, family-run or chain store business, retail jewellers were assessed by a process advised by knowledge partner Deloitte across a total of 27 categories. The awards aim to highlight new areas such as workplace development, CSR, customer experience and more, in which creative and pioneering leadership is opening up new paths from which the whole industry may benefit. Ten categories have been introduced this year. Recognizing the huge growth of jewellery brands in Tier II and Tier III cities, The Retail Jeweller MD & CEO Awards 2024 included region-wise recognition of independent retail brands in East, West, North, South, Central, and North-eastern regions of the country.

The prestigious awards ceremony was graced by celebrities Sanya Malhotra and ZoyaAfroz, who felicitated the winners on stage. From an industry standpoint, these awards are a pioneering initiative as they celebrate business leadership excellence in an industry that has historically been under-represented in the world of business.
