MUMBAI, 27 MAY, 2023 (GPN): First and one of its kind in the country the IDDA – Indian Dental Derma Assurance, a platform with the Healthcare Plan that covers all Dental and Derma Treatments by top-notch Doctors with partial reimbursements, was launched this week. The platform IDDA was inaugurated at its Head Clinic in Powai, Mumbai at the hands of Dr Ashok Dhoble  – Hon. General Secretary, Indian Dental Association and Shiv Sena MLA Dilip Lande in the presence of many prominent medical professionals, technocrats, and corporate CEOs.

It is a known fact that Dental and Dermatology treatments in India are not covered under Healthcare Insurance. This has led to many consequences like people being deprived of compensation for the cost incurred for treatment, leading to many people even avoiding and/or postponing their dental and derma treatments. This has been affecting a sizable population of the country.       

While speaking about the idea behind the launch of IDDA Chandni Gandhi – Founder and Executive Director of IDDA said “We saw the non-availability of dental and derma insurance cover for Dental and Derma treatments as a major concern among both the treatment-seeking people and the Doctors alike. We felt the need for addressing this concern, ignored so far. During the process of creating this platform, various Doctors’ Associations have been of great help to us. We have also simultaneously launched a Web Application for the same, where the people have access to a network of top-rated Dentists and Dermatologists in their neighbourhood, compare the prices and save big on treatments, get assured partial reimbursement for all treatments. What’s more, here online booking ensures no more waiting is required at the clinic. To be eligible to get reimbursement one has to become a subscriber by paying just Rs 499/- a year. IDDA ensures seamless partial reimbursement on Rs 3 lakh treatment up to Rs 60,000 spread over 12 months in a year”.  

While Commenting on the growth plan of IDDA Chandni Gandhi added “Ever since we thought of the concept and started developing this platform we have been getting encouraging responses from Doctors willing to associate with IDDA and people wishing to become IDDA subscribers, whose registrations will be starting in a month time. Our first year’s aim for Mumbai/MMR is to have a minimum of 500 top-qualified practicing Doctors on the panel and over One Lakh people as Subscribers. On growing geographically, our next target cities are Bangalore, Pune, and Delhi-NCR”.   

Dr Ashok Dhoble – Hon.
