• सक्षम-2022 (संरक्षण क्षमता महोत्सव) is an important national program initiated by Government of India for energy security, sustainable development and environment protection of our country.
• The ultimate goal of the program is to curb wasteful expenditure on fossil fuel, reduce the growing burden on foreign exchequer and protect the environment from the adverse effect of Green House Gases emanating from burning of fossil fuels.

MUMBAI, 8th APRIL, 2022 (GPN): Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA), under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum and Natural Gas and State Level coordinators of Oil Industry take up various initiatives with the active involvement and support from the concerned State Government to spread mass awareness.

Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA) has been in the forefront to create mass awareness towards conservation of petroleum products, promoting fuel-efficient equipment and helping the government in proposing policies and strategies for petroleum conservation.

With the same earnest   सक्षम  (संरक्षण क्षमता महोत्सव) 2022 has been organized during 11^th April, 2022 to 30th April, 2022, with a tagline Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav through Green & Clean Energy (हरित और स्वच्छ ऊर्जा अपनाए, आज़ादी का अमृत महोत्सव मनाए) all over the country.

As part of this, Oil Industry in Maharashtra organized Inaugural function on 11^thApril, 2022 at 11:00 m. in the auspicious presence of Hon’ble Shri Ajit Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister, Government of Maharashtra State.

Before start of program Chief guest will inaugurate Saksham-2022 stall, He will also go through Rangoli competition organized in this opening ceremony in which school children are participate.

Various activities to be done during the month like Group Talks/ Debates for School Students, Graffiti/ Wall Painting Competition in Colleges, Fuel Efficient Driving Competition, Article Writing, Press Conferences/Press Releases, Talk Show & Jingles on TV/Radio etc.

Around 16 types / 800 nos activities will be conducted in State of Maharashtra during SAKSHAM-2022.

During this opening ceremony ‘Best Depot award’ at the State level will be given away at the auspicious hand of Hon’ble Deputy Chief Minister for maximum Kilometer per Liter (KMPL) improvement during the period April 2020 to March 2021 as compared to the baseline of the previous year in Category- State Transport Unit (STU) having more than 100 depots in the State of Maharashtra.

Also School Students & Teachers will be felicitated for their outstanding contribution towards fuel & oil Conservation.

The State Level Coordinator, Maharashtra invited to everyone to participate in the program of the Inauguration function. In these press conference, was also shared that during this year’s Saksham-2022 two competitions have been organized such as newspaper articles on clean and green energy and articles on oil and gas conservation by any eminent persons. Winner will be awarded with best Prizes.
