MUMBAI, SANJAY GIRI/ GPN: Maharashtra’s pride, Raj Shrikant Thackeray was born on 14 June 1968 and shares his 14 June birthday with several notable international and national personalities, including leaders like Donald Trump, veteran actor Kirron Kher, and music composer Pritam.

Marking the birthday of Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) President Raj Thackeray, a special initiative was organized by Chembur Assembly Sub-Division President Avinash Panchal to empower women through the distribution of free household flour mills.

The event was held at Satyabhama Hall in Ghatla Village, Chembur, in a vibrant atmosphere and in the presence of several dignitaries.Among those present were MNS leader Shirish Sawant, Maharashtra Navnirman Mahila Sena General Secretary Rita Gupta, Deputy City President Yogesh Sawant, former corporator Anil Patankar, corporator Meenakshi Patankar, and MNS Women’s Wing President Veena Ukarande, along with several party office-bearers, women workers, and local residents.

As part of the programme, 100 women were selected through a lottery draw from among 500 applicants to receive free household flour mills. The announcement of the winners brought visible joy and excitement to many participants. The initiative was widely appreciated as it is expected to help women start small home-based enterprises and strengthen their economic independence.A total of 100 women will receive free flour mills under the scheme. Out of these, 25 fortunate beneficiaries were presented with the flour mills at Shivtirth, the residence of Raj Thackeray, in the presence of Raj Thackeray and Sharmila Thackeray.

During the event, MNS Division President Mauli Thorve praised the initiative. Beneficiary women expressed their gratitude to organizer Avinash Panchal and extended birthday wishes to Raj Thackeray, praying for his good health and long life.
