MUMBAI, 16 AUGUST, 2025 (GPN/ SPM- +91 9768497333): The Chandivali Assembly constituency witnessed one of the grandest celebrations of the year as the Dahi Handi Festival 2025 was organized on Saturday, August 16, under the guidance of Shiv Sena MLA Dilip Lande. The event, hosted annually by the Bal Vikas Mitra Mandal, was held at Ganesh Maidan, Kajupada, Kurla (West), and carried an impressive prize amount of Rs. 9,99,999.

Govinda troupes from across Mumbai suburbs, along with enthusiastic teams from the Chandivali constituency, showcased their spirit and energy by forming 4, 5, 6, and even 7-tier human pyramids, earning accolades and rewards.

Speaking at the occasion, MLA Dilip Lande said, “This Hindu festival is celebrated with deep devotion across the state. Govinda teams build tier upon tier, placing faith in one another, and the unity and teamwork displayed here have now gained recognition worldwide. Tourists from across India and abroad come to witness this vibrant celebration in Mumbai. Our government continues to encourage and support all forms of sport.”

The program was anchored by Prayag Dilip Lande, Maharashtra State Executive Member of Yuva Sena, while members and office-bearers of Bal Vikas Mitra Mandal worked tirelessly to ensure the success of the event.
