Murji Patel – In Monsoon Session 2025
MUMBAI, 7 JULY, 2025 (GPN): The monsoon session of the state is currently underway, The Monsoon Session of the Maharashtra Legislature began on Monday (June 30, 2025) and all the AAP MLAs are presenting the problems and demands of their constituencies in the session. Through this session, Shiv Sena MLA from Andheri East Murji Patel has drawn the attention of the government to various problems in the constituency.
Be it the traffic congestion in Andheri or the poor condition of the municipal school in the section, MLA Murji Patel has raised his voice in the session. While presenting various problems in the constituency, Murji Patel said that Andheri is an important industrial and corporate center, where a large number of citizens and vehicles come and go every day.
As a result, there is massive traffic congestion on narrow and bottleneck roads, seriously affecting the quality of life of ordinary citizens as well as the transport system in emergencies. In such a situation, the presence of traffic police is grossly inadequate.
Despite repeated requests for additional police force, the transport department is not providing the required manpower citing staff shortage. Due to this, the Chief Minister was requested to increase the traffic police force in crowded areas like Andheri and make the management more efficient.
Also, in many places in Andheri, unauthorized garages are occupying roads and sidewalks and doing parking and repair work. These garages are blocking the roads, further intensifying traffic congestion. The situation is getting worse day by day due to the lack of concrete action by the traffic police.
He demanded that the government take serious note of the fact that this problem could pose a serious obstacle to the safe movement of citizens. Meanwhile, he raised the very serious problem of the municipal schools.
Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan BMC School in Gundavali, Andheri is almost 60 years old, and the ceiling plaster has collapsed in many places. It is very worrying that about 800 students are studying here every day despite such a dangerous condition.
He strongly stated in the Legislative Assembly that the Municipal Education Department is not taking this issue seriously and is shirking its responsibility. He demanded that the Minister of School Education, Mr. Dadaji Bhuse, immediately look into this matter and issue notices to the responsible officials and investigate the school.
