The “Run for Vivekananda Mumbai Sustainability Run” 8th Edition Hosted in the City By The Vivekananda Youth Connect Foundation

MUMBAI, 24 DECEMBER, 2023 (GPN): The 8th Edition of the Run for Vivekananda Mumbai Sustainability Run, held at Juhu Chowpatty on December 24, 2023, witnessed an inspiring turnout of 3000 participants. The event, organized by the Vivekananda Youth Connect Foundation under the leadership of founder Dr. Rajesh Sarwadnya, aimed to promote health, sustainability, and community engagement.

The run featured three categories: 10km, 5km, and a 2km walkathon, each classified into open, 18 to 35, 35 to 50, and 50+ age groups, ensuring inclusivity and spirited competition.

Title sponsor Dr. B K Modi, along with the support of partners such as Decathlon Andheri West, Avaada Group, Cornitos, Nanavati Max Hospital, Food Strong, NSS, SVCT’s RedBrigade Mumbai, Poddar High School, and Our Lady of Good Health High School, contributed to the success of the event.

The run commenced at 5:30 am, with the vibrant energy of fitness coach and sports anchor Anupriya Sinha as the event host. Dr. Bhavana Diyora served as the Race Director, orchestrating a seamless experience for participants.

The inclusion of Zumba sessions added an extra spark to the event, infusing enthusiasm and energy into the runners. The presence of renowned singer and music composer Anu Malik further elevated the festivities, making the Run for Vivekananda 8th Edition Mumbai Sustainability Run a truly memorable and happening occasion.

As the participants ran towards a sustainable and healthier future, the teachings of Swami Vivekananda echoed throughout the event, spreading the message of unity, self-discovery, and service to the community.
