PUNE, 09 DECEMBER, 2023 (GPN): udChalo, the National start- up award winner and leading online travel firm launches ‘Cash-on-Delivery’ (COD) service for travel bookings for senior citizens and non tech savvy customers in Pune. This first-of-its-kind initiative within the Online Travel Agency (OTA) space in Pune aims to simplify travel planning and payment processes for senior citizens, offering them a more convenient and secure way to book travel. Recently udChalo opened its services for non-defence personnel as well.

The COD service will be available for all travel bookings made through the udChalo website and mobile app, including flights and vacations. Senior citizens in Pune can now choose the COD option at checkout and pay for their bookings in cash upon delivery of their tickets at their doorstep. This eliminates the need for online payments or using debit/credit cards, providing a more familiar, secure and comfortable payment method for many senior citizens. Moreover, this service will be managed by army veterans for whom the company will aggressively hire ex- defence personal PAN India. This will help create reemployment for retired army veterans.
