1. *PITRU PAKSH 2023* starts today : It is the ‘fortnight of the ancestors’, a tradition observed by the Hindus to pay homage to their ‘pitrs’ or ancestors. 1. Indian Army celebrates 197th Gunners Day. Chief of the Army Staff Gen Manoj Pande conveyed greetings and best wishes to all ranks, veterans, and families of the regiment of ARTILLERY on the occasion.

3. A two-day seminar on the Indian Navy’s Vision- 2047 was held at Visakhapatnam by the Maritime Warfare Centre under the aegis of Eastern Naval Command.

The Ministry of Defence inked a deal with HAL for the procurement of six Dornier-228 aircraft, allocating a budget of Rs 667 crore in March.
