The Sustainer organizes a Awareness and training workshop to deepen knowledge about EV Charging stations for Societies

MUMBAI, 7 MAY, 2023 (GPN): A lack of knowledge regarding EV Charging stations in societies has hindered Adaptation of EV’s & its widespread use. The Sustainer is attempting to close this knowledge gap.

Even if the number of EV and EV charging station users in India has increased in recent years, the transition from ICE vehicles to EVs remains gradual. At present rates, reaching the national aim of 30 per cent EV sales penetration for automobiles, 70 per cent for commercial vehicles, 40 per cent for buses, and 80 per cent for two- and three-wheelers by 2030 will be tough. Secondary sources, as well as this author’s encounters with EV vendors and consumers, show a variety of reasons for the country’s delayed adoption of EVs.

The general public still needs to gain a better awareness of EVs’ benefits, hazards, available subsidies, charging methods and tariffs, battery life, maintenance expenses, and resale value. Niti Aayog’s November 2021 introduction of the e-Amrit online site is an essential milestone in this area. The webpage contains a wealth of information about electric vehicles and strives to raise awareness among all stakeholders, including citizens, manufacturers, and service providers.

To add to this, The Sustainer, India’s Leading Charging Solution company, recently conducted an “EV Charging Station Awareness Workshop for Societies”& realised a guidebook. The workshop was focused on providing knowledge and raising awareness about various types of EV Chargers, Rules & Regulations, Safety, Basic Operations, Guidelines, Benefits, etc. A total of 120 people who attended this workshop had come from Thane and nearby areas.
