MUMBAI, 17 MARCH, 2023 (GPN): Life can be perfect one moment and then turn upside down the next. But staying determined and persevering can put you back on your feet. Pune’s Vaibhav Kulekar is one such resilient, determined boy who persevered for his family. Vaibhav belonged to a lower-income family that could barely afford a square meal, let alone fulfill the other necessities of life. He went to school but couldn’t afford to continue studying after the 10th standard.

After his father’s retirement, he began looking for work after finishing tenth grade. To provide for his family, he began looking for a job in the vicinity. He started working as a sales executive for SBI Credit Card, and was relieved to start fending for his family. 

However, he couldn’t stay longer at the organization, as he met with a fatal accident six months after joining SBI due to which he was advised to be on complete bed rest. As it is rightly said, one is always replaceable at work; he lost his job as he could no longer go to work. Being the sole breadwinner of the family, the job loss affected him badly. Even after recovering, his dilemma remained the same. He couldn’t figure out how to bring his life back on track. 

As he set out on the quest to find another job, he found out about the apna app through a Facebook ad. He immediately downloaded the app, made his profile, and sent his resume for two job opportunities. He cleared the interviews and got an offer letter from both companies. He chose to work as a sales executive for Balaji Enterprise. 

Commenting on his success through the apna app, Vaibhav said, “apna truly came as a blessing in my life when all the doors shut on my face. I applied on other apps as well, but I never received a response from any of them. Although having a lower education is a disadvantage when it comes to finding work, you can always achieve great things if you have specific and efficient skills and a platform like apna. In my current job, I am earning well enough to take care of my family and save for my future business plans as well.”Ends
