The Yoga Festival audience benefited from the presentations on Naari Shakti, healthy living, and mental peace

DEHRADUN / RISHIKESH, 16 MARCH 2023 (GPN): The audience was made aware of the numerous ways to live a happy life through panel talks on various issues by specialists in the fields of yoga, health, and spirituality during the International Yoga Festival 2023, organized by the Uttarakhand Tourist Development Board conducted from March 1 to 7. These discussions primarily covered the benefits of yoga, spirituality, ayurveda and women’s role in carrying the legacy of yoga.

A panel discussion session on the subject of “Uttarakhand – Yoga Capital of the World” was held on the second day of the Yoga Mahotsav, and participants included Yoga Brand Ambassador of the State of Uttarakhand Dilraj Preet Kaur, Maria Pauli of Shivanand Ashram, Yoga and Cosmic Healing Expert Dr. Urmila Pandey, and World Record Holder in Ashtavakra Yoga Dr. Priya Ahuja.The experts discussed Uttarakhand’s unique yoga heritage, the state’s ability to shelter people who came from India and abroad in search of peace of mind, Beatles Ashram, and ways to generate jobs through yoga during this one-hour discussion.

On the third day’s session, professionals gave their perspectives on the topic of “Mind, Body, and Soul” and talked about ways to stay energised. During this discussion, Virat Chiraniya of Art of Living, shared insights regarding the mind-body interaction that affects human consciousness. Dr. Urmila Pandey, a “Cosmic Healing” expert, detailed how a person can improve his life by meditating for 5 minutes every day despite the hectic schedule of daily life during a talk on “Pranic Sleep”.

On the fourth day, a panel discussion was held with participation from BAMS Dr. Vaidehi Deodhar and dieticians including Prof. Dr. VK Agnihotri, Drs. Mannat Marwah, and Urvashi Chugh. In their opinion, yoga improves one’s emotional stability, physical health, and spiritual well-being. Yoga helps you stay healthy by getting rid of illnesses. Yoga fosters the development of morals and enduring values. Yoga must be our haven if we hope to maintain a healthy body and mind. Yoga helps one purify oneself. The people present on the premises received complete information about how to strengthen the digestive system through yoga poses such as Vajrasana, Dhanurasan, and Kapalbhati from Dr. Awadhesh Sharma.

On the fifth day, specialists convened a panel discussion with the title “Ayurveda: The Science of Life” in which they expressed their important perspectives on the significance of this 5000-year-old medical system. They explained how everyone in the globe now adheres to Ayurveda and is aware of its significance in the modern era. A panel of experts included Prof. Sunil Joshi, vice chancellor of the Uttarakhand Ayurveda University, Prof. Hari Mohan, former director of Charak Sansthan, Dr. JN Nautiyal, president of the Medical Council of India, Dr. Sanjeevan Deodhar and others.

On the sixth day, a panel discussion with the theme “Ya Devi Sarvabhuteshu-Taking Yoga to New Heights by Nari Shakti” featured eminent female yoga practitioners. In this panel discussion, experts discussed how women have kept the yoga practise alive from antiquity to the present. They also gave instances to support their points of view.  The discussion’s primary focus was on struggle faced by Indian women to gain international recognition for yoga, as well as how vital yoga is, particularly for women. Women cope with a multitude of issues, according to experts. They should therefore set out at least 10 to 15 minutes each day to practise yoga for themselves. Daily yoga practise will improve their physical stamina and give them a special energy that will last all day. Prominent yoga experts, including  Dr. Priya Ahuja, who holds the Ashtavakra Yoga Guinness World Record, Dilraj Preet Kaur, the state’s yoga brand ambassador, Ekta from the Rammani Smriti Yoga Sansthan, and BK Aarti, a spiritual guide and teacher, were among the panelists.

The same day, Rujuta Diwekar, a well-known nutritionist and fitness specialist, presented information on vital food and fitness-related topics. She explained that a balanced diet is vital to maintain good health and that it also improves fitness and stamina. She explained that these three requirements for a healthy body are the primary elements of spiritual strength and peace in addition to physical strength. She provided specific nutrition and exercise advice for women.Ends
