HYDERABAD, 8 FEBRUARY, 2023 (GPN) – Rapido, a leading player in the bike and auto taxi service provider space, has taken a big step towards making roads in Hyderabad safer and drivers more responsible. With a similar initiative already underway in Bangalore, Rapido has organized awareness campaigns in major traffic signals around Madhapur and Hitech City in affiliation with the Madhapur Traffic Police Station.

The Circle Inspector of Police, Mr. Narasaiah, was the Chief Guest and awarded certificates to the trained captains on basic first Aid with CPR during the event. He also delivered a speech on road safety and pamphlets with messages about road safety were distributed. The event, held at the Cyber Towers Signal was attended by approximately 500 people. 60 auto drivers participated in it including 25 auto captains who received training in cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and basic life support (first aid).

Later in the day, similar events were held at two other locations – Cyber Towers and Hitech signal. The events saw the participation of 30 volunteers, staff, and traffic police at each venue. These events received an enthusiastic response from the public and auto-captains and were covered by approximately 15,000 and 10,000 people respectively, considering the traffic movement.
