EaseMyTrip Q3FY23 profits soars 84 per cent at Rs 40 Cr

MUMBAI, 1st FEBRUARY, 2023 (GPN):  Online travel service provider, Easy Trip Planners Ltd (EasyMyTrip) annouced it’s Q3 FY23 results, for the quarter ended December 2022.  The company secured a net profit of INR 40 crore against a net profit of INR 22 crore after Q3 2021 and an 84% hike in profit.

The company’s Gross Bookings Revenue for Q3FY22 saw a growth of 65% YoY and stood at INR 1,293 crore as compared to INR 783 crore in Q3FY21.

Following its results, EMT’s air segment booking grew 49% and hotel nights booking grew by 144% for Q3FY22. The company also continued to gain market share across different businesses with increased margins and commissions. The revenue break-up of the company was 92.3% B2C and 7.7% B2B.

In a statement, the company said that it plans to continue to strengthen its lean and effective infrastructure, along with its non-air business and international footprint, and create long-term sustainable value for its stakeholders.

it will acquire a 55 per cent stake in Glegoo Innovations Pvt Ltd, an online travel and tours firm, for Rs 3 crore.

The company signed a share purchase agreement with Glegoo Innovations Pvt Ltd on January 24, 2023, Easy Trip Planners, which operates under the brand EaseMyTrip, said in a regulatory filing.The board of the company has considered and approved the acquisition, Glegoo will add a new revenue vertical for the company and enable it to scale up its business for online tours and travel related services it added.
