In order to motivate original thought in students, the best story would be published and will be made available to public

PUNE, 30th DECEMBER, 2022 (GPN): Students of The Academy School (TAS), Pune, have written original stories in a workshop titled Art of Publishing held at the TAS campus. The school authorities have decided to publish the best story as a book which will be made available to readers professionally.

Art of Publishing was introduced as a development program to nurture the joy of writing in TAS Students. Book publishing workshop provides a platform for students to promote original writing and create their own content at an early age.

The stories have been put up for voting wherein teachers, parents and other school staff would vote for the best story. The best story will be published both internally and externally. Internal Publishing (i.e. the book will be circulated within the TAS community). External Publishing (i.e. the book will be further worked upon with the student-author and professional illustrators to publish on various platforms externally and available to the public in general).

Students as young as four and 10 have also written their own stories. “The journey of becoming an author with the guidance of trained dedicated teachers and the Finland team has worked miracles for our little TASians. The journey of story writing has developed creativity, critical thinking, problem-solving skills, vocabulary, confidence, and teamwork in the students. They can now articulate their thoughts and imagination into writing, which is a huge achievement,” said Dr. Maithili Tambe, CEO, TAS.

The students started their work of making their own book by deciding which storybook they wish to make, what will be the content and storyline, how innovatively they can make their books presentable and attractive and many such details were worked on.Ends
