MUMBAI, 25 DECEMBER, 2022 (GPN): To mark Christmas and New Year, Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road conducted interesting social welfare activities under its Be a Santa’ Initiative. The hospital donated money and groceries to NGO Ashray Akruti Foundation, Rehabilitation Centre for Persons with Disability. Christmas and New Year brings along happiness and smiles with them.

Like every year, this year Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road is celebrating Christmas with gusto.

“The hospital strives for the well-being of society by taking these initiatives. Under its Be a Santa’ Initiative, the hospital organized Fun Fair wherein the staff had set up around 8-10 stalls and prepared different delicacies at home and sold to staff. The amount collected was donated to NGO Ashray Akruti Foundation, Rehabilitation Centre for persons with disability.

Apart from that, even groceries were collected for over a week and donated in the donation drive. Talking about NGO, the SANTA distributed snack boxes, sweets, and gifts and danced with people in the NGO. We were happy that our efforts brought smiles to the faces of people. We hope to work dedicatedly for the people and encourage them to stay healthy,” said Dr. Pankaj Dhamija, Centre Head, Wockhardt Hospitals, Mira Road.

“The atmosphere in the hospital is very cheerful. We all are enthusiastic to participate in the event. It is rejuvenating. The hospital staff came together, sang songs, danced, and played games. We tried different delicacies and were glad that we were able to do our bit for needy people. I thank the hospital for coming up with such initiatives and drives that are meant for the benefit of society. We look forward to more activities like this.
