~Danube Properties Filmfare OTT Awards honoured the Hindi web originals released between August 01, 2021, and July 31, 2022, featuring the best in Hindi OTT entertainment ~

NATIONAL, 22^nd DECEMBER, 2022 (GPN): Continuing its everlasting legacy of recognizing and honouring the artistic and technical talents in Hindi cinema, two years ago, Filmfare stepped into the world of OTT entertainment to celebrate the unique stories and exemplary talent presented across Hindi web originals. After two successful editions, Filmfare recently hosted the 3rd edition of the much-awaited Filmfare OTT Awards in association with Danube Properties as the title partner. The prestigious celebration was held on 21/12/2022 at Taj Lands End, Mumbai, and was a starry night filled with glamour and brilliance as the Black Lady was bestowed on the finest OTT content creators, actors, and their creations.

The third edition of the Filmfare OTT awards commemorated some very talented individuals who have left their mark in the OTT space with their extraordinary performance. Artists such as Abhishek Bachchan (Best Actor, Male – Web Original Series), Taapsee Pannu (Best Actor, Female – Web Original Series), Anil Kapoor (Best Supporting Actor – Web Original Film), and Mita Vasisht (Best Actor, Female – Web Original Film) took to the stages as winners and won the hearts of the audiences. The awards night also saw ravishing actor Raveena Tandon win the Best Actor (Female) award.

The series Rocket Boys and Tabbar scored big as they took home the maximum awards. In the popular category, Rocket Boys was awarded the Best Series, their talented director Abhay Pannu, won the Best Director award and versatile Pawan Malhotra took home the award for Best Actor, Male – Series Drama for Tabbar.

The critic’s panel from Filmfare also awarded a few entities for their exemplary presence on digital platforms. The Best Series – Critics Award was taken by Tabbar and the Best Director, Series – Critics award was won by its director, Ajitpal Singh. The Best Actor (Female), Drama – Critics was awarded to Sakshi Tanwar. Jim Sarbh was awarded with Best Actor (Male), Drama – Critics. Mithila Palkar took home the trophy for Best Actor (Female), Series Comedy Critics, and Jitendra Kumar won Best Actor (Male), Series Comedy Critics.

Amongst the glamour and glory of the awards being received, one element that came out on top was camaraderie. The entire evening saw the cast and crews of the various nominees and winners cheering for one another, as the winner of every award was called onto the stage. This coming together of the OTT industry turned the award show into a celebration of the growth that it has seen in recent years.

This year, the star-studded gala witnessed leading faces from the Indian film industry gracing the prestigious celebration with their presence on the Red Carpet such as Bhumi Pednekar, Vidya Balan, Taapsee Pannu, Anil Kapoor, Nawazuddin Siddiqui, Sanya Malhotra, Mithila Palkar, Ashutosh Rana, Harshvardhan Kapoor, Amruta Khanvilkar, Amruta Subhash, Anup Soni, Javed Jaffrey, Abhishek Banerjee, Gagan Arora, Amyra Dastur, Madhur Bhandarkar, Raveena Tandon, Arunoday Singh, Shivin Narang, Neena Gupta, Sakshi Tanwar, Anupriya Goel, Shweta Tripathi, Sona Mohapatra, Bhuvan Bam, Vishal Jethwa, Shreya Dhanwanthary, Viraj Ghelani, Jim Sarbh, Jitendra Joshi, Sheeba Chaddha, Shriya Pilgaonkar, Khushali Kumar, Amol Parashar, Konkana Sen Sharma, Sobhita Dhulipala, Neha Dhupia, Surveen Chawla, Abhimanyu Dassani, Kritika Kamra, Elli AvrRam, Sanjay Kapoor, and many more.

The main event was hosted by the talented Maniesh Paul and the gorgeous Gauahar Khan, who kept the audience’s eyes glued to the stage with their engaging conversations and humor.

The 3rd edition of Filmfare OTT Awards 2022 was presented by Danube Properties, co-powered by Hyundai Motors India and Aeonia, and in association with Brew & Bliss.
