MUMBAI, 15 DECEMBER, 2022 (GPN): Moneycontrol, India’s no.1 platform on all things finance and investment for over two decades, successfully conducted its maiden session of Moneycontrol Mutual Fund Summit – Targeting 100 Trillion, on 14 December at Four Seasons Hotel, Mumbai. Amongst all luminaries sharing their perspectives on India’s journey from ₹40 trillion to ₹100 trillion in the near future, actor-activist Sonu Sood presented an inspiring chain of thought during his session on ‘giving back to society’.

Starting with his journey from Punjab to Delhi, and Mumbai, Sonu Sood had one important lesson constant in his life. “My mother, a professor, used to say that I might be destined to save lives. Due to my roles, brands used to have mixed reactions while visualising me as their ambassadors. The pandemic gave me the chance to be a real-life hero. In the last two years, I have partnered with various brands for having developmental activities in villages of Jharkhand. Smartphone brands and e-rickshaw companies have collaborated with me. So, it’s the drastic change in people’s perception of me that has helped me become who I am,” said the actor.

When asked about his personal finances, he reiterated his zen-like stance on contentment in life. “For me, that matters more, because you can never earn enough to match your hopes. I have altered the value of money and directed it to improve the lives of others. Because, investment in someone else’s life gives you the best return,” Sonu Sood signed off.Ends
