MUMBAI, 1st DECEMBER, 2022 (GPN): The Studio Potters Bandra market is an annual event which happens in Mumbai every year at the Vintage Garden, a beautiful heritage bungalow in Bandra, a culturally rich suburb of Mumbai. In its ninth edition, it will be held on the 3rd & 4th December, 2022

The market once again brings together 30 of the top ceramic artists from Mumbai and around the country. These artists will showcase their craft and this also means a chance for you to own them. Set in the lovely heritage bungalow, the market attracts the support of the whole city, as they visit to celebrate and enjoy the work of the attending artisans.

The weekend is all about browsing and seeing the art, while enjoying the ambience of the beautiful Vintage Garden. The venue comes alive, as the ambience is very festive and the happy chatter of the potters and the customers pervade throughout the space. You will have the opportunity to see and own beautiful handmade serve ware, tableware, wall decor, sculptures and garden decor.

Year on year, as the market grows and its participation expands, it becomes a hub for pottery lovers to come and learn and share their ideas with the potters.

The signature styles of each potter are fascinating to watch. You will see lovely tableware from Khusbhoo Madnani, a potter from Goa. Veena Singh from Bhopal is known for her work in Nerikomi, a Japanese technique of work with coloured clay. Sumathi Madhav’s signature porcelain flowers will also be there as well as some beautiful sculptures from Sultana Khan and some fine tableware from Anupama Patnaik and many more ceramic artists. People have a chance to interact with them, view and purchase their art, while also enjoying the demonstrations and workshops by local potters at the market itself.
