1. Union Ministry of Health and Family Welfare launched Tele Mental Health Assistance and Networking Across States (Tele-MANAS) on the occasion of World Mental Health Day.

3. Two Chief Justices for High Courts : The central government announced the appointment of two judges as chief justices of the high courts in Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Karnataka. It also announced the transfer of the chief justice of the J&K high court to the Rajasthan high court.
4. Union Cabinet has approved payment of a Productivity Linked Bonus equivalent to 78 days to railway employees for the financial year 2021-22.
5. PM Modi will visit Himachal Pradesh on Thursday. He will flag off Vande Bharat Express from Una Himachal railway station. It will be the fourth Vande Bharat train to be introduced in the country.
6. Ministry of Women and Child Development has said that more than 15 crore activities were conducted on various themes across the country during the 5th Rashtriya Poshan Maah from 1st to 30th of September.

9. Union Home Minister Amit Shah will inaugurate the ‘Gujarat Gaurav Yatra’ in Ahmedabad on Thursday. Shah is scheduled to visit Sant Shree Savaiyanath temple to pay obeisance in Ahmedabad’s Zanzarka and later visit Unai Mata Temple to offer prayers in Navsari district’s Unai on Thursday.
10. HARYANA govt has stopped drug production at a manufacturing plant of Maiden Pharmaceuticals in Sonipat. This comes a week after the World Health Organisation alerted that as many as 66 children in the Gambia may have died after consuming the cough syrups, made by the company.
11. J&K : Former Jammu and Kashmir CM Ghulam Nabi Azad on Wednesday said that outsiders should not be allowed to cast their vote in the Union Territory.
12. KARNATAKA : Ola, Uber and Rapido-run autos continue services despite ban in Karnataka :. Online booking of auto-rickshaw services continued to be available on ride-hailing platforms such as Uber, Ola and Rapido, despite Karnataka government making such services illegal from Wednesday.
13. MAHARASHTRA govt has affirmed that it is in favour of providing reservation and facilities to the Maratha community. It said that the government will build hostels for 50 male and 50 female students in the community.
14. NAGALAND : Former chairperson of Nagaland State Commission for Women, academician, renowned writer and Padma Shri Dr Temsula Ao passed away at a private hospital in Dimapur. She was 80.
15. ODISHA CM Naveen Patnaik has launched ‘Football for All’ in the state to take the culture of football to the grassroots. The Programme has been initiated by FIFA. Over 43,000 footballs will be distributed to children in about 2000 schools.
16. PUNJAB Minister Gurmeet Singh Meet Hayer on Wednesday said only green crackers will be allowed for two hours from 8 pm on Diwali. He added crackers will be permitted from 4 am to 5 am and from 9 pm to 10 pm on ‘Gurpurab’. They will be allowed from 11.55 pm to 12.30 am on Christmas and New Year.

1. The National Testing Agency (NTA) on Wednesday issued a statement saying that a fake tweet and YouTube video are circulating on social media regarding the leak of the History paper during the UGC-NET December 2021 and June 2022 (merged cycles) examination. The NTA denied the allegations. The exam was conducted on October 10.
2. The Enforcement Directorate raided several premises in Chhattisgarh and recovered ₹4 crore in cash along with jewellery, in connection with a money laundering case.
3. Four persons travelling in two cars with over ₹3 crore unaccounted cash were detained in Rajasthan’s Sirohi district on Wednesday, police said. The cash was recovered from the cars coming from Ahmedabad, Sirohi SP Mamta Gupta confirmed. The police found bundles of notes wrapped in paper under the seats of the two cars at Maval post

6. Seva Vikas Cooperative Bank licence revoked by RBI: Seva Vikas Co-operative Bank, situated in Pune, had its licence revoked by the Reserve Bank of India (RBI).
7. The government will extend a one-time grant of Rs 22,000 crore to three state-owned fuel retailers to cover for the losses they incurred on selling domestic cooking gas LPG below cost in the last two years, I&B Minister Anurag Thakur said.
8. Life Insurance Corporation of India (LIC) has sold over 2% of its holding in Power Grid Corporation over the past five months for ₹3,079.43 crore.

1. The Indian Army decided to procure electric vehicles (EV) for select units and formations in sync with the government’s overall policy of reducing the carbon emissions. As per the plan, around 25 % light vehicles, 38 % buses and 48 % motorcycles in select units will be replaced.
2. The Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL) will showcase state-of-the-art products and systems spanning every domain of its business in the Defence Expo-2022 to be held at Gandhinagar, Gujarat, from October 18-22.
3. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh will launch a website ‘Maa Bharati Ke Sapoot’ enabling citizens to contribute for the Armed Forces Battle Casualties Welfare Fund, AFBCWF on Friday. It will be launched at a function being organised at the National War Memorial Complex in New Delhi.

Indian Naval Warship INS Tarkash reached Port Grequhrea (also known as Port Elizabeth), South Africa to participate in the joint multinational maritime exercise IBSAMAR from October 10 – 12.The joint maritime exercise takes place between Indian, Brazilian and South African Navies and is the seventh edition of IBSAMAR

1. Pay in Europe using UPI soon : NPCI International Payments Ltd (NIPL) and European payment services provider Worldline established a corporation due to which Indians will soon be able to make payments through UPI (United Payments Interface) across Europe.

India’s top diplomat in China met a senior official of the Chinese foreign ministry and had a candid and friendly exchange of views on bilateral relations, international and regional situations, ahead of the key Congress of the ruling Communist Party which is due to discuss pressing global issues.
3. The equations of America and Pakistan are changing day by day. The Joe Biden government of America shocked India on the first F-16 deal and Kashmir issue and now two ships of the US Coast Guard (Coast Guard) reached Pakistan. Two Coast Guard ships were in Karachi from October 6 to 9.
