1. *💐🏵️HAPPY Dussehra*: It is one of the major Hindu festivals that marks the end of Navratri. It is observed on the tenth day in the Hindu calendar month of Ashvin or Kartik. The day marks Lord Ram’s victory over the evil King Ravana. President Droupadi Murmu has extended her greetings to the people on the Vijayadashami.

2. Union Civil Aviation Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia today virtually inaugurated the direct flight from Kolhapur to Mumbai. This flight has been launched under the ambitious Regional Connectivity Scheme – UDAN which aims to provide affordable air connectivity to tier-2 and tier -3 cities.

7. *GUJARAT* : President Draupadi Murmu launches ‘herSTART’ – a start-up platform of Gujarat University for women entrepreneurs.

8. PM Modi will visit Himachal Pradesh tomorrow to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of projects worth over three thousand 650 crore rupees. During the visit, he will inaugurate AIIMS Bilaspur, which foundation stone was also laid by the Prime Minister in October 2017.

9. *J&K*: Union Home Minister Amit Shah said that post abrogation of Article 370, J&K has emerged as the most secured place as the militancy-related incidents are at an all-time low.

As against the previous figures of 4767 militancy-related incidents reported in a year, the figure dropped to 721 only. The killing of Security Forces personnel has come to just 137 a year, which is the lowest ever.

10. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on Tuesday announced that the Gujjar, Bakerwal and Pahari communities in Jammu and Kashmir will get reservation benefits in accordance with the recommendations of the Justice Sharma Commission which examined the issue of quota.

13. *TELANGANA* : state govt has converted its sheep distribution scheme as ‘cash transfer scheme’ in the undivided Nalgonda district, where the Munugode Assembly constituency is having bypoll on November 3.

Official sources said the decision was taken as the procurement of sheep from other states was taking time. “To avoid this delay, the government decided to introduce the direct cash benefit scheme that will enable the Golla/Kuruma community members to purchase sheep on their own.”

These pigment cells constantly make a chemical called melanin (say: MEL-uh-nin) that gives the growing shaft of hair its color of brown, blonde, black, red, and anything in between.

Melanin is the same stuff that makes our skin’s color fair or darker. It also helps determine whether a person will burn or tan in the sun. The dark or light color of someone’s hair depends on how much melanin each hair has.

As we get older, the pigment cells in our hair follicles gradually die. When there are fewer pigment cells in a hair follicle, that strand of hair will no longer contain as much melanin and will become a more transparent color — like gray, silver, or white — as it grows.
