The smart building market has expanded rapidly in recent years, surpassing the $50bn mark in 2018 and is predicted to reach $109.48bn by 2026. Smart buildings are the enabler of smart cities which use data to generate and realise efficiencies in the provision of services. Today, all our actions should be directed towards creating a climate-positive world. Buildings of the future will be helmed by the technologies that we are witnessing and paving the way for today.

It was highly engaging and insightful connecting with all the industry leaders of the commercial real estate segment at this event. We look forward to honouring many such stalwarts across India,” says Bibhor Srivastata, MD, ITP Media Group – India.

Commercial real estate has a critical role to play in fight against climate change and help India achieve its sustainable development goals. The world is already experiencing the hazardous effects of climate change especially on economic and social fronts, and the decarbonization journey must be accelerated quickly across sectors to avert the risks. As per estimates, buildings drive approximately 39 percent of total global emissions and around 11 percent of these emissions are generated by manufacturing materials used in buildings (including steel and cement), while the rest is emitted from buildings themselves and by generating the energy that powers buildings. Building smart, connected offices can not only help companies to achieve operational efficiency but also lower carbon emissions and cut unwanted costs.

Schneider Electric’s Innovation Day aims to provide a collaborative platform for its consumers, while also showcasing the latest technological trends in the industry to better prepare for holistic sustainable growth.Ends
