Jagdeep Dhankhar to take oath as 14th Vice President of India today after being elected on August 6th

NEW DELHI, 11 AUGUST, 2022 (GPN): Former West Bengal Governor and National Democratic Alliance (NDA) candidate Jagdeep Dhankhar will take oath as the next Vice President of India.

President Droupadi Murmu will administer the Oath of Office to the elected 14th Vice-President of India Jagdeep Dhankhar at Rashtrapati Bhavan at 11:45 am.

Dhankhar was elected as the Vice President on August 6. He defeated the Opposition’s Margaret Alva to emerge as a winner.

Jagdeep Dhankhar an Indian politician and lawyer, who will now serve as the 14th and current Vice President of India from 11 August 2022. Prior this position he served as the Governor of West Bengal. He also held office as the Union Minister for Parliamentary Affairs under the Chandra Shekhar ministry in 1990.Ends
