Mumbai- 6^th June, 2022 (GPN):-  Shri Yogi Adityanath, Hon’ble Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh today inaugurated a 1000 litre RO and Chiller Plant at the Gorakhnath Mandir, Gorakhpur. The RO and Chiller plant was set-up by SIDBI as part of its CSR initiative.

On the occasion, Hon’ble Chief Minister appreciated the initiative taken by SIDBI and highlighted the immense relief it will provide during the ensuing extreme summer. He also said that the RO and Chiller plant will help provide pure and cold drinking water to about 20,000 daily devotees to the temple as well as the innumerable patients and their attendants at the hospital in the temple campus.

Speaking on the occasion, Sh, V S V Rao, Deputy Managing Director, SIDBI thanked Hon’ble Chief Minister for providing the opportunity to SIDBI to put up the plant. He further added that SIDBI is committed to twin CSR activities with enterprise development in the area coupled with direct lending. Sh. Manish Sinha, General Manager, Regional Office, Lucknow assured Hon’ble Chief Minister that SIDBI would continue to work for the betterment of the MSMEs as well as the marginalised and downtrodden sections of the society. Sh. P Praveen Kumar, DGM, SIDBI highlighted some of the recent path-breaking initiatives taken by the Bank in the state of Uttar Pradesh. He assured that SIDBI would continue to support various differentiator engagements.

Sh. Kumar Avay Chandra, Branch Manager, SIDBI, Gorakhpur, who played a stellar role in setting-up of the plant, proposed the vote of thanks and informed that this was the Bank’s third CSR engagement in Gorakhpur. First, the Bank adopted a village for RO water as they had health problems due to contaminated water, thereafter, the Bank installed one RO at the Collectorate for the benefit of hundreds of people who visit daily.Ends
