Goa, Mumbai, 27th February 2022 (GPN): Leading B-school, Goa Institute of Management (GIM) will be hosting the TEDxGIM 2022 conference, which promises to have a diverse mix of speakers and performers from various fields. The virtual event which is being held on 28 Feb aims to create thought-provoking conversations for the student community at large.

 

The theme for this year’s event is ‘Who Created Thought’. The theme evokes a sense of bringing about change through one’s own ability. It’s not just about knowing what’s necessary but rather having the courage and zeal to follow through.

Some of the speakers include therapist Mrinalini Nair, musician Sadakat Aman Khan, Rita Jagrath the bodybuilder,  Trupti Karjinni an entrepreneur and Rahul Nainwal a social entrepreneur and design thinker.

Mrinalini Nair is a dance movement therapist. She specialises in dance forms like Kathakali, Mohiniyattam and dance movement therapy. She will be expressing her views on the theme with her performance and also share her experiences and the learnings with the audience. 

Musician Sadakat Aman Khan, popularly known as Mr. Harmonium, specialised in Hindustani Classical Music and Fusion Music. He started performing professionally at various concerts from the year 2010 onwards.

Rita Jagrath is one of the pioneers in women’s bodybuilding in India. She is also an IFBB Pro-League international Judge and a part of the judging panel at the highest level in international shows. Rita Jairath has paved a way for women into the world of bodybuilding by challenging the conventions of the society at large and rising above all to become who she is today.

Trupti Karjinni, founder and CEO of Blue Pine Arts, a company that makes handmade artisanal watercolours and other art supplies is self-taught and uses her knowledge to empower and inspire others in their learning to create art.

Rahul Nainwal, Social Entrepreneur and Design Thinker, Co-founded iVolunteer, a platform where volunteers can share time, skills, and passion for a better India. Rahul also started CashRelief.org – India’s first pilot on unconditional wealth transfer. He uses design in his work and conducts design thinking learning events across the globe. Besides being an Ashoka Associate Fellow, he is a Chevening Indian Gurukul Scholar.
