आज आदरणीय प्रधानमंत्री श्री नरेंद्र मोदी जी अहमदाबाद मेट्रो के दूसरे चरण और सूरत मेट्रो प्रोजेक्ट का भूमि पूजन करेंगे ।वीडियो कॉन्फ्रेंसिंग के जरिए होने वाले इस कार्यक्रम में गुजरात के राज्यपाल और मुख्यमंत्री भी मौजूद रहेंगे। अहमदाबाद मेट्रो रेल परियोजना के दूसरे चरण में कुल 28.25 किलोमीटर की लंबाई के दो कॉरिडोर होंगे। पहला कॉरिडोर मोटेरा स्टेडियम से महात्मा मंदिर तक होगा और इसकी कुल लंबाई 22.83 किलोमीटर होगी जबकि दूसरा कॉरिडोर जीएनएलयू से गिफ्ट सिटी तक होगा और इसकी कुल लंबाई 5.41 किलोमीटर होगी जिसकी कुल लागत 5384.17 करोड़ रुपये की होगी ।
