NATIONAL, MUMBAI, 04 SEPTEMBER, 2020 (GPN): The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) bureau investigated that there were several instances where Abdel Basit Parihar arranged drugs and was in regular contact with Showik Chakraborty brother of main accused Rhea Chakraborty. Showik used to purchase ganja and marijuana from drug peddler Abdel Basit Parihar and make payments through a Google Pay account.NCB seized Showik , Parihar, Zaid, Kaizan, Karan and  Abbas in an alleged dealing of drug peddling and consumption. All six of them are either being questioned, detained or in custody of the agencies probing Sushant Singh Rajput’s death case.Miranda has also been detained under provisions of Narcotic Drugs and Psychotropic Substances Act, 1985. Also, Abdul Basit Parihar has been sent to Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) custody till September 9.

Parihar is learnt to have links with the narcotics case registered against Rhea Chakraborty and many others. Rhea is the main accused in the death case of the 34-year-old actor which is being probed by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED) on money laundering charges and NCB.

The NCB, which had earlier searched the premises of Rhea Chakraborty’s brother Showik Chakraborty and Samuel Miranda (SSR’s former house Servant cum Manager)  in connection with the drugs probe linked to the death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, said it will arrest them soon. A formal process in underway, the bureau said.

A team from the NCB raided the residence of Showik in Santa Cruz (West) area and Miranda’s residence in suburban Andheri (West) area in the early hours of Friday. Some evidence had been collected from both the places.

Earlier, the bureau arrested two drug peddlers operating in Mumbai named Zaid Vilatra and Abdel Basit Parihar.
NCB sources said both Vilatra and Parihar revealed Showik’s and Miranda’s name upon interrogation.

An analysis of Showik’s chats revealed that on March 17, 2020, he shared Vilatra’s contact number with Samuel Miranda and asked to pay him Rs 10,000 for 5g. Thereafter, Miranda contacted Vilatra for the first time on Showik’s behest

Sushant Singh Rajput was found dead at his Bandra apartment on June 14.As the scope of the probe keeps increasing everyday since the Enforcement Directorate, CBI and the NCB joined in the drug angle has thrown up a number of leads. NCB Deputy Director KPS Malhotra told the media that the homes of Showik, who is Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty’s brother and that of Miranda were being searched, but declined to elaborate.

Sushant’s manager Shruti Modi had reportedly informed the Central Bureau of Investigation that the late actor would often consume marijuana along with Rhea Chakraborty, who would smoke joints with SSR’s house manager Samuel Miranda and her brother Showik Chakraborty regularly on Sushant’s terrace, a CBI source indicated. Both CBI and NCB now keen on giving SSR’s controversial suicide a Drug Angle. Sources who claim this as a murder are pointing it to be just an eye-washer or the tip of iceberg and hope the progress of CBI leads to the full Circle or rather the full iceberg, albeit the issue is moving rather slowly.

Kangana Ranaut has been slammed by Maharashtra State Minister Anil Deshmukh for comparing Mumbai to Pakistan Occupied Kashmir (PoK). He said, “Some people are trying to target Mumbai Police… After, her (Kangana Ranaut’s) comparison of Mumbai Police…she has no right to live in Maharashtra or Mumbai.”

Senior Shiv Sena leader and Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Raut reacts after Kangana Ranaut accused him of issuing her an ‘open threat’ and asking her not to come back to Mumbai. The 33-year-old Ms Ranaut, currently living in Himachal Pradesh, reiterated her comments against the Maharashtra government and the ruling Shiv Sena-Nationalist Congress Party-Congress coalition.

“I see many people are threatening me to not come back to Mumbai so I have now decided to travel to Mumbai this coming week on 9th September, I will post the time when I land at the Mumbai airport, kisi ke baap mein himmat hai toh rok le (Stop me if you dare),” she tweeted.

Targeting the police as well, she tweeted, “After a major star has been killed I spoke about drug and movie mafia racket, I don’t trust @MumbaiPolice cos they ignored SSR’s complaints, he told everyone they will kill him yet he was killed, if I feel unsafe,does that mean I hate the industry and Mumbai?”

Her outburst came after Shiv Sena’s Sanjay Raut wrote in the party mouthpiece Saamana, “We kindly request her not to come to Mumbai. This is nothing but an insult to Mumbai Police. The Home Ministry should take action over it.” ENDS
