Similarly, Piscium, originally being a medical device manufacturer, has forayed into the hand sanitizer segment to leverage on the growing need for sanitizers during COVID-19 pandemic. The company is making use of its expertise, existing supply chain, distribution platform, procurement partners to sell its sanitisers at different propositions, proving that every adversity is an opportunity for an entrepreneur. 

Piscium Health Sciences launched this Hand Sanitizer – an essential commodity in the midst of the Covid-19 epidemic lockdown, ensuring the maximum available production capacity in order to bring an effective product to consumers in the shortest possible time all over the country, given the dire need for the same. The hand sanitizer is using Food and Drug Administration approved formulation, has an alcohol base of 80% and is clinically proven to kill 99.999% of illness-causing germs within 10 seconds. The hand sanitizer is available in 500 ml to 5 litre packs all across the country and is home delivered.

The man behind the success story of Piscium Health Sciences it’s founder  Malay Dikshit. From a communications specialist to an entrepreneur of niche business, Malay Dikshit has come a long way. After graduating as Masters in Chemical Engineering from the Institute of Chemical Technology, Dikshit enrolled himself for a management course at IIM-Lucknow. His strong skills around business Strategy, marketing, sales, innovation and R&D made him take up sincere leadership positions at various marquee brands like Moet Hennessy, Diageo in Malaysia and Singapore, Reckitt Benckiser and Cadbury. In 2015, Dikshit joined Tata Sky as Chief Communications Officer.
 
In 2018, Dikshit left Tata Sky to pursue his dream of becoming an entrepreneur and started his own venture- Piscium Health Sciences. Piscium is the DIPP Recognised start-up, involved in medical & dental equipment innovation & manufacturing. Currently, it is being incubated by SINE with facilities being provided by IITB-Monash Research Academy inside IIT Bombay.  It has received a grant in aid from BIRAC (Department of Bio-technology, Govt of India) for developing dental devices by 2023. Piscium has tapped into the immense R&D knowledge of the country to introduce a portfolio of products. Its first Indigenously developed product is Nano Engineered dental burs. It is the first commercially launched CVD Diamond Bur. The pilot is running at the IIT Mumbai campus. Piscium is in the process of launching Nano engineered implants & screw-dental & ortho, Nickel titanium root canal, Dental alginate and Fractured file remover.
