MUMBAI, 15 SEPTEMBER, 2019 (GPN): Furthering the continued endeavour to ‘leave every place better’, Royal Enfield, the global leader in the mid-size motorcycle segment, hosted a Beach Cleaning drive at Mahalaxmi beach with more than 150 riders on Sunday.

To support the journey towards sustainability, we had motorcycling enthusiasts from across the city, who came together on Sunday morning to clean the beach, near Mahalaxmi Temple. The Royal Enfield community, supported by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) gathered more than 150 volunteers to clean the beach and reduce impact on the fragile ecosystem. As per BMC, the volunteers clear more than 2.5 metric tonnes (2 truckloads) of garbage during the activity.

After the successful conclusion of the 16th edition of Himalayan Odyssey’s zero ‘Single-use-plastic-ride’ and the adoption of dry-wash techniques across all service centres in Chennai, this activity will further aim to spearhead Royal Enfield’s effort in this sphere. ENDS
