MUMBAI, 25 NOVEMBER, 2024 (GPN) – MLA Dilip Lande has won a resounding victory for the second time by defeating former Congress minister Naseem Khan in Chandivali Assembly.  Chandivali assembly constituency, which has the highest number of voters in Mumbai, would have been the target of all elections.

Former Congress minister Naseem Khan and Shiv Sena’s Shinde’s faction Dilip Mama Lande were in a bitter fight, but Dilip Lande has once again demolished the Congress’s citadel by winning a deserved victory. With Lande Mama’s announcement of victory there was a wave of frenzy and delight amongst the Shiv Sainiks who were already rejoicing over the clean sweep victory of Mahayuti.

After the last 29 rounds, Shiv Sena’s Dilip Lande got 124641 votes and Congress’s Naseem Khan got 104016 votes.  Lande won convincingly by taking 20625 extra votes in his stride. Shiv Sena Mahayuti’s Dilip Lande retained his Aghadi after trailing down inbetween two time and than taking the lead ahead and successfully won by taking 20625 more votes.

After announcing Dilip Lande’s name, Lande went to the Ganpati temple in Kajupada and took darshan of Lord Ganesha. The women applied the victorious tilak to Lande and offered him Sakhar (Sugar).  After that he went to the Matmojani Kendra (Vote Counting Centre) and accepted the victory certificate.

Dilip Lande’s victory was celebrated with joy and fervour in the right place. Thousands of Shiv Sena workers had gathered to celebrate the victory.  In Chandivali, people everywhere were making announcements by bursting crackers and celebrating the victory by distributing sweets.
