As an MLA, Dilip Lande Mama has always presented the demands of Chandivalikar to me.  As told by Mama, the people have got their rightful houses in the funds given for the rehabilitation, now after canceling the green belt (reservation) in Mohili Village, the big problem of the people here will be solved and the development work will be done asserted the CM.

Chief Minister Shinde said that we are changing the face of Mumbai. In Mumbai we are clearing potholes, all the roads are being concreted and in two years all the roads will be concreted.  Lande Mama has concreted the roads here.  Mama started 4 Babasaheb clinics in Chandivali and worked on important roads in the division.

We are making Mumbai traffic jam free.  Metro network is spread everywhere. We started working to provide housing to the mill workers.  We are providing benefits to students through various schemes like scheme for education, scheme for senior citizens, pilgrimage visit scheme. Chandivali’s popular candidate Lande Mama is a magician in action.

In Chandivali, Lande Mama helped 41 thousand beloved sisters benefit from the scheme.  There is no discrimination that people of all castes and religions are getting the benefits of this scheme.  Mama has received support from RPI Raja Ratna Ambedkar, Shiv Sangram, Swarajya Sangram Sangha, Bhanushali Samaj, Bahujan Party. In other words, Mama’s victory is confirmed.let’s assume that as soon as Mama came last time he has won with a lot of struggle, now it should not be like that, Mama’s victory should be confirmed, said CM and there was a roar of yes from the crowd in front.

In the Chandivali Constituency the Shiv Sena’s incumbent MLA, Dilip Mama Lande, faces a namesake candidate and a challenger from Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MNS) Mahendra Bhanushali.

In 2019, Shiv Sena’s Lande won Chandivali by a slim margin of 409 votes, relegating Congress leader Mohammed Arif (Naseem) Khan, the working president of the Maharashtra Pradesh Congress Committee, to second place. For the upcoming election, there were two VBA nominees, Dadarao Tukaram Nikam and Muinuddin Yaar Mohammed Khan, though both have since been disqualified. MNS remains the only consistent competitor across both polls.

Local residents have high expectations for improved governance. “Traffic congestion, air pollution from concrete plants, and unfulfilled infrastructure needs—such as a major fire station—are pressing concerns,” stated Mandeep Singh Makkar, founder of the Chandivali Citizens Welfare Association.

One urgent issue for residents is drug availability, which has permeated all corners of Chandivali, from Powai high-rises to Asalpha slum areas. Local psychiatrists and community leaders have raised alarm over the implications for public safety. Shiv Sena’s Lande acknowledged the problem, admitting, “We still have much to do on this front, as the drug issue is tied to rising crime rates.” Lande cited successes like a new 200-bed public hospital and efforts to arrange transport for blue-collar workers.

Speaking to GPN Lande highlighted plans for the relocation of 10,092 families living on the Mithi River’s banks, with new housing projects underway in Kohinoor City. He also mentioned ongoing efforts to address unauthorised parking, which has compounded traffic issues for two decades. Khan shared his solution: “I will propose creating basement parking under garden plots, preserving open spaces while meeting parking needs.”

On this occasion, Uttar Pradesh State Minister Girish Chandra Yadav, Swarajya Sangram Party Organization Tanajirao Shinde, BJP District President Susham Sawant, Shiv Sena Chandivali Assembly Chief Ashok Matekar, Women’s Department Chief Chandraprabha More, Shiv Sena Ex-Corporator Ishwar Taide, Harish and Leena Shukla, Wajid Qureshi, BJP ex  Corporators Sitaram Tiwari, Harish Bhardige, NCP’s Arshad Amir, DA Mahajan,  Surendra Singh, RPI’s Dadu Bhosle, Yuvasena executive member Prayag Lande, etc., and other functionaries and activists of Mahayuti were present in large numbers.  The meeting ground was very full.
