Maharashtra ranks No.1 in the country in the creation of infrastructure projects – CM Eknath Shinde

MUMBAI, 14 OCTOBER, 2024 (GPN):   Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation (MSRDC) is implementing projects worth nearly two lakh crores. Maharashtra CM Eknath Shinde today asserted that the state of Maharashtra is number one in the country in the construction of infrastructure projects in Vashi.

Thane Bay Bridge No 3 on the Sion-Panvel Highway at the North Channel traveling from Mumbai to Pune was inaugurated.

The groundbreaking ceremony of seven creek valley bridges namely Dharamatar, Kundlika , Agardanda , Bankot , Kelshi , Jaigad and Kunkeshwar on Rewass-Redi Sea bridge Highway was inaugurated by the Chief Minister through television system.The total length of these seven bay bridges is 26.70 kilometers and administrative approval of Rs 7 thousand 851 crore has been provided for it.

These creek bridges will not only develop Konkan , but also boost tourism. This is a Diwali gift for Konkanians.He said , the work of Konkan Green Field Expressway between Panvel and Sindhudurg has been undertaken by the Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation. After the completion of this project, the distance from Mumbai to Konkan can be covered in just five hours.

The groundbreaking ceremony of seven bay bridges on the Rewas (Raigad) to Redi (Sindhudurg) sea highway was completed today at Vashi by the CM.

Chief Minister Mr. Shinde said , while creating infrastructure in the state, the state government has prioritized raising the standard of living of the common people through public welfare schemes. Common people are getting support through schemes like Chief Minister Majhi Ladki Bahin Yojana , Lek Ladki , Vayoshree yojana While implementing public welfare schemes, the development of the state is being done at the same speed. The state has taken the lead in development by implementing major development projects like Coastal Road , Atal Setu , Metro , Samriddhi Highway.

The projects undertaken are Savitri Devi Phule Women’s Hostel, Ultra luxury renovation of Jawahar Bal Bhavan  in Mumbai, Sir J.G. Art Institute Hostel and Sir J.G. Bhoomipujan of Vastu Shastra hostel, Government College of Technology Boys and Girls Hostel  in Bandra, New Training and Skill Development Center at Worli, Naigaon , Dadar , Byculla , Shivdi , Shiv (Sion) , Worli Police Colony Dedication, Inauguration of Panchakarma facilities created under Poddar Hospital in Worli, Mumbadevi temple , Mahalakshmi temple Siddhivinayak Temple,  Babulnath temple premises development work, Inauguration of pink toilet in A to D wards,Inauguration of CCTV project for safety of students in Mumbai city schools and facilities for senior citizens and women, Sir J. G. Renovation of hospital wards and inauguration of equipment, Dadar Chowpatty Coastal Replenishment and last but not least Construction of lift facility in all old MHADA buildings in Mumbai City.

On this occasion the Minister of Public Works (Public Activities) Mr. Dadaji Bhuse , former MP Rahul Shewale were present as chief guests , while Additional Chief Secretary of Public Works Department Mrs. Manisha Mhaiskar-Patankar , Vice Chairman and Managing Director of Maharashtra State Road Development Corporation Dr. Anil Kumar Gaikwad , Joint Managing Director Mr. Rajesh Patil , Chief Engineer Mr. Rajesh Nighot , Chief Engineer Mr. S.K. Suravase along with other dignitaries were also present.

During the bhoomi Pooja and foundation stone laying ceremony Assembly Speaker Adv. Rahul Narvekar , Minister Deepak Kesarkar, Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha, Legislative Council Deputy Chairman Dr. Neelam Gorhe , MLA and Siddhivinayak Trust President Sada Saravankar , Local People’s Representative, BMC Chief Bhushan Gagrani , Marathi Language Department Additional Chief Secretary Manisha Mhaiskar , Higher and Technical Education Department Principal Secretary Vikas Chandra Rastogi , School Education Department Principal Secretary I.A. Kundan , Municipal -AC Ashwini Joshi , Mumbai City Collector Sanjay Yadav , Senior Literary Madhu Mangesh Karnik , Marathi Language Advisory Committee Chairman Dr. Laxmikant Deshmukh and others were present.
