Eknath Shinde Shiv Sena and Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray Shiv Sena (UBT) held rallies in Maharashtra on the occasion of Dussehra, Uddhav Thackeray faction leader Aaditya Thackeray took a dig at Eknath Shinde faction on Saturday by saying, “Original Shiv Sena is here”.

Addressing the public rally at Shivaji Park, In his debut speech Aaditya Thackeray said, “Original Shivsena is here and I feel proud that this Shivsena party name is on my father’s name Uddhav and my grandfather’s name Balasaheb Thackeray and you all are Thackeray’s for us.”

“From childhood, I have memories that on Dussehra my grandfather Balasaheb Thackeray organized a Dussehra rally, and Balasaheb Thackeray formed Shivsena, my father Uddhav Thackeray said to me that the coming election is very important for us and we have to fight against them. We have been waiting from the last two years for Maharashtra assembly elections in 2024.” Aaditya Thackeray said.

“They (Mahayuvti government) only do corruption in government, you all have to stop this and vote for us and show them that this is the Maharashtra and power of Maharashtra they are ‘khoke’ government.” Thackeray said.

“Youth in Maharashtra only want work in hands, they want jobs on the occasion of Dussehra we want to finish this Minde & khoke government with Mashal, I want to ask you all are you ready to fight with them I ready are you? Let’s fight with this corrupted government, vote only for Shivsena UBT and you all know the symbol of Shivsena UBT it’s mashal and only Mashal,” Thackeray added.

MLA Aaditya Thackeray said the election model code of conduct would not be announced for the state assembly polls until all govt resolutions (GRs) and decisions favouring Adani group were taken. Aaditya warned officials that if they signed any illegal files the MVA govt would put them behind the bars, “When we went to Davos (to attend World Economic Forum), we brought an investment of Rs 80,000 crore. However, the Shinde govt squandered Rs 40 crore in 24 hours. He scammed everything… files are lost?. We will open all the files after our govt comes to power. Industries in the state are moving to Gujarat. I will save Maharashtra from becoming Gujarat.

Addressing the Dussehra rally at Shivaji Park in Mumbai, Uddhav Balasaheb Thackeray said “Late Ratan Tata once came to my house and after returning from ‘Matoshree’ he told me that, ‘Uddhav, you and I have a legacy and heritage behind us which we have to take forward’. Ratan Tata had the legacy of his father and I have the legacy of my father, Balasaheb Thackeray.”

Thackeray criticised the ruling government, calling them responsible for the collapse of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj’s statue in Sindhudurg. Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s apology for the incident, Thackeray remarked, “Modi should understand that Shivaji Maharaj is not an Electronic Voting Machine (EVM) to win votes.”

The RSS should think whether today’s “hybrid BJP” is acceptable to it, Thackeray said. Targeting his former ally ahead of the assembly elections in Maharashtra, Thackeray said the BJP should be ashamed of calling itself “Bharatiya.” He also compared it to the Kauravas, accusing it of showing arrogance
