Chandanbala Jain Temple in Walkeshwar Mumbai – Best Jain Temples revered by all Jain Community
MUMBAI, 24 SEPTEMBER, 2024 (GPN): On Sunday, 29th September 2024 an extraordinary Maha Rath Yatra will take place in Mumbai. A grand Jain Yatra (tradional procession) of unparalleled scale, will take place in the ever buzzing City. The Yatra will begin at 8:30 AM from the revered Shripalnagar Chandanbala Jain Sangh in Walkeshwar and will conclude at the Motisha Lalbaug Jain Temple in Bhuleshwar, where thousands of devotees will also gather for a special Mahaprasad.
This grand spiritual event is expected to draw followers not only from Mumbai but also from Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Karnataka. Several revered Jain monks and nuns will grace the procession with their presence. Dignitaries, including the Hon’ble Governor, Chief Minister of Maharashtra, and several Cabinet Ministers, will also attend.
Key Highlights of the Maha Rath Yatra comprises of 3 magnificent Rathas (chariots) carrying the idols of the revered Tirthankars. 5 Indra Dhwajas symbolising divine protection and the honor of the Jain Sanghs will uplift the spiritual energy of the event.Participation from over 40 Jain Sanghs and more is expected. A stunning 51-meter Shashan Dhwaj (flag) symbolizing the grandeur of the Jain faith will be held. Over 100 Dhwajas (flags) will be also hold by the yatris flying proudly in the skies.
Active involvement of more than 15 Shravika Mandals.Traditional music from over 15 bands, including the dynamic beats of the Puneri Dhol will give a mesmerizing and hear captivating effect to the traditional event. There will be live Rangoli displays along the procession route.More than 250 Pathshala children carrying flags and joyfully participating in the event will be a spectacular sight.
A sacred Palkhi carrying the idol of the 24 Bhagwans will be hosted in the procession.Over 25 + Diksharthis (individuals about to take monkhood vows) will join the Yatra.
All aspects of the Maha Rath Yatra will be conducted with the utmost adherence to Jain principles, making it not only a visual spectacle but a deeply spiritual experience for all who attend.
This historic event promises to be a unifying moment of devotion, celebration, and reverence for the Jain community.
