MUMBAI, 21 SEPTEMBER, 2024 (GPN): Today on September 21, 2024, a grand reception was organized by the Rajasthani community in Borivali, attended by prominent members of the Rajasthani diaspora, political
figures, business leaders, administrative officials, and social workers. The event was held with the aim of promoting education in Rajasthan, and the state’s Education Minister,
Madan Dilawar, was the chief guest. He urged the Rajasthani community living in Mumbai to make significant contributions to the field of education.Madan Dilawar was warmly welcomed at the event. Among the special guests were former North Mumbai MP Gopal Shetty, former Maharashtra cabinet minister Raj Purohit, Dahisar MLA Manisha Choudhary and renowned eye specialist Dr. Shyam Agarwal.
Other notable attendees included Dr. Purushottam Kejriwal, Ratansingh Tura, Natwarlal Poshitra, Vijayraj Purohit, Pramodkumar Jaswantpura, Sunny Agarwal, Mahendrasinh Ranawat, Dr. Mahesh Purohit, Pratapraj Jetpura, and Rajubhai Samarani.
During the ceremony, businessman and social
worker Purushottam Kejriwal was honored with a shawl. He praised Education Minister Madan Dilawar’s dedication to public service and social initiatives, stating that he is guiding Rajasthan in a new direction. Kejriwal also expressed that under Dilawar’s leadership, Rajasthan will lead in education and sanitation.Kejriwal highlighted that, thanks to Madan Dilawar’s efforts, 7 Crore trees plantation have been planted in Rajasthan, contributing to environmental conservation. Additionally, significant steps are being taken to make Rajasthan free of plastic. He called on community patrons to support Dilawar’s initiatives.
Earlier, Kejriwal was also honored at the Padmashri Lata Mangeshkar Hall in Mira-Bhayandar, where he was awarded a doctorate by an international organization. His family is involved in the pharmaceutical business,primarily exporting medicines abroad. Kejriwal is also active in social work, having provided food, medicines, and financial aid to those in need during the COVID-19 pandemic.
