Constitution will remain forever, As long as the Sun and Moon are there so will the Constitution remain and the reservation bestowed by the Constitution will also remain: Ramdas Athawale 

MUMBAI, 13 SEPTEMBER, 2024 (GPN): Union Social Justice Minister Ramdas Athawale warned of a protest movement on behalf of the Republican Party to protest against Rahul Gandhi’s baseless statement of ending reservation, in a press conference held at the Mumbai Marathi Journalists Sangh (Mumbai Marathi Patrakar Sangh) today on Saturday.

No one can end the reservation (Arakshan) bestowed by the great man (Mahamanav Bhimrao Ramji Ambedkar) Dr. Babasaheb Ambedkar to the Dalit Tribals and OBC Backward Classes through the Constitution. As long as there is sun and moon, the constitution of India will remain and the reservation given by the constitution will also remain he told.

Addressing the media Athawale remarked Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s statement that the Congress will decide to end social reservation after social harmony is created in India is objectionable. From this statement, Rahul Gandhi has revealed that the Congress party is against reservation. What was the need for Rahul Gandhi to talk about ending reservation?

Pointing to LoP Congress leader Rahul Gandhi’s visit to America Athawale said, Rahul Gandhi’s business is to defame our country by going abroad. It is wrong to go abroad and say that there is no democracy in India. Ramdas Athawale said that we strongly condemn Rahul Gandhi who defamed the country by going abroad and making wrong statements about democracy and reservation.

Congress was in power for the longest time in the country. Dalits have been more oppressed during his time. Dalits are oppressed even today. Therefore, the reservation given by the Constitution to the Dalit tribal backward classes is their protective shield (Raksha Kavach), said Athawale.
Athawale concluded saying Rahul Gandhi and Mallika Arjun Kharge should apologize. They have insulted our God Babasaheb and the Constitution as well as the Dalit community by using such outrageous language and they should apologize for that. Otherwise we will protest in the whole of Maharashtra on behalf of our party.
