MUMBAI, 13 SEPTEMBER, 2024 (GPN): Rajshree Umbre undergoing a hunger strike at Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar regarding the demands of the Maratha community has sent on his behalf a delegation of seven members to meet Chief Minister Eknath Shinde at his Varsha residence today. A detailed discussion was held regarding the demands presented by the delegation. Education Minister Deepak Kesarkar was also present on the occasion.
Meanwhile the Chief Minister directed that, Guardian Minister Abdul Sattar and Minister Kesarkar should meet the hunger striker Rajshree Umbre and present the stand of the government .
Stating that the government is positive about the demands of the Maratha community, it would be appropriate to check the legal aspects of the demands and take a strategic decision on them, said Chief Minister Shinde on this occasion. The CM informed about the various decisions taken for the Maratha community.
At this time, the delegation had demanded to hold a meeting regarding the Shahaji Raje Memorial at Verul. The Chief Minister directed the Guardian Minister to hold a meeting.
The delegation included Kishore Chavan , Ravindra Bansod , Balraje Aware Patil , Pravin Nagre , Shashikant Shirsat etc. On this occasion, the delegation submitted a statement to the Chief Minister.
