The trend of Ganesha devotees is increasing towards eco-friendly Ganeshotsav celebrations: Shri Nanasaheb Shendkar founder Utsavi Kala Samuh and Pioneer of Eco friendly Sri Ganesh Moment 

MUMBAI, NATIONAL, 29 AUGUST, 2024 (GPN): Ganesha festival that has reached India and abroad is changing with time. That is why the use of Plaster of Paris or Thermocol is carefully avoided while decorating Sri Ganeshotsav at home and abroad and as an alternative, emphasis is being placed on cardboard paper and eco-friendly decorations.

Nanasaheb Shendkar innovated the environment- friendly Sri Ganesh movement by closing down the factory of Thermocol based Makars and Decorations in the year 2001.

Today this has become a global movement that has reached across the country and also abroad. Nanasaheb Shendkar urges the good citizens and also the Government to support this moment, let’s do our part and stop the environmental damage and pay obeisance to Shri Ganesha

Even the Ganeshotsav that is coming up in a few days should also be environmentally friendly, because an eco-friendly Ganeshotsav is the need of the hour. It is possible to celebrate Ganeshotsav by taking care of the environment. The state government is trying to protect and conserve the environment. But the insistence of the people is also important.

Nanasaheb Shendkar, the Pioneer of the eco- friendly Sri Ganesha movement, Utsavi Kala Samuh has hosted A grand display and Exhibition for sale of eco- friendly Ganeshotsav decorations. It is held from 10 am to 10 pm at Prabhakutir in Ganeshgalli, Lalbaug.

Everyday From 10 am to 10 pm people flock to see these works of art which will be open throughout the Ganesh Festival till Navratri Utsav. This exhibition has been organized through the organization Utsavi and around 200 technicians, artisans, designers, artists, employees have created various works of art. It has many decorations like Jaipur Mahal, Forts, 3D Mahal, Siddhivinayak Temple, Mayurasan, Jula Makhar, Vanrai, Suryamakhar along with Ram Mandira. Ranging in size from just one foot to 12 feet, these artworks are for everyone from domestic Ganesha to public Ganeshotsav. Utsavi has been eco-friendly for 24 years. Nanasaheb Shendkar, who was obsessed with the eco-friendly Shri Ganesha, closed down his well-established thermocol factory and started making decorations from paper cardboard to make this concept a reality. Which are attractive as well as easy to fold and can be stored for a long time as well as being useful for carrying elsewhere. That is why it has been noticed in the country and abroad and it is seen that this concept is becoming popular day by day.

The forthcoming Silver Jubilee next year will also be celebrated on a Grand Scale where everyone will see the participation of NRI, VIP, Dignitaries, Government Officials and Mayor to make it a thriving Success and this is just a trailer.
