After 40 years long wait Anushakti nagar Assembly Constituency gets success in approval of Important development projects like graveyards, crematoriums, schools and hospitals by BMC and the efforts of former Minister MLA Nawab Malik and his daughter Sana Malik Shaikh

MUMBAI, 27 AUGUST, 2024 (GPN)- After a long wait of 40 years, the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC) has finally approved such important development works in Anushakti nagar assembly constituency and due to the efforts of MLA Nawab Malik and his daughter Sana Malik Shaikh.

Anushaktinagar Assembly Constituency development includes a modern graveyard, crematorium, park, playground, municipal school, hospital and a 44 feet road. MLA Nawab Malik informed that all these development works will be done for the progress of Anushakti Nagar and to improve the civil facilities of the people and also will be a milestone to raise the standard of living of the people.

I have been given the opportunity to represent this constituency and I have tried to develop the constituency and serve the people. Due to those efforts, today after a long wait of 40 years, the Mumbai Municipal Corporation has approved the development works.Nawab Malik and his daughter Sana Malik Shaikh said that as these development works are going on, not only people will get facilities but also the development here will be completed.
Necessary facilities will be provided in approved graveyards and crematoriums. Because it will honor religious and cultural traditions. Apart from this, a large park, playground, municipal school, hospital and about 44 feet road will also be constructed. This road will be connecting Bhikaji Damaji Patil Marg to Bharatnagar slum.

These development works will be aimed at uplifting and improving the standard of living of the local people and strengthening their foundation. Nawab Malik also explained that this development step will be important for the good of the constituency.

On 18 July 2021, a large-scale landslide occurred in Bharatnagar slum area. 18 people lost their lives in it. This slum is spread over an area of ​​about one hectare. Around 25 thousand people live here. There is only a 4 to 5 meter road leading to this slum. Which is adjacent to the private premises of HPCL. Therefore, if any accident happens here, there will be difficulties in reaching that place.

As the MLA of Anushaktinagar (Anushakti Colony), I have demanded the speedy acceptance of the evicted part ME19 in the Development Plan 2034, Nawab Malik said so that the 13.40 meter wide paved road to connect Bhikaji Damaji Patil Marg to Bharatnagar slum can be started by BMC as soon as possible.

MLA Nawab Malik’s daughter Sana Malik Shaikh has also seen active participation in this development plan. Sana Malik Shaikh has thanked the Mumbai Municipal Corporation for giving immediate approval to the development works of the people and also thanked MLA Nawab Malik for his repeated guidance.

This modern cemetery and crematorium will cater to the cultural and religious needs of the Muslim, Hindu Lingayat, and Christian communities. The cemetery and crematorium will be built on a plot of 16,143.53 sq.m.
In addition, a municipal school for the children of Anushaktinagar assembly constituency will be set up on a plot of 8,244.35 square meters. Along with this, a playground will be constructed on 13,659.30 square meters which will be important for outdoor sports.

In both these schemes, priority will be given to educational and physical sports. This will lead to overall development of children and youth. A state-of-the-art hospital is to be built on a plot of 8,415.68 square meters to provide better healthcare facilities to the people of the constituency.
A paved road of 44 feet will be made here. Sana Malik Shaikh explained that this road will not only make it convenient for the citizens to come and go, but also the traffic jam will be removed.

Sana Malik Shaikh also said that efforts will be made to complete these approved development works at the earliest so that the people of Anushaktinagar Assembly Constituency can benefit from them at the earliest.
