MUMBAI, 28 NOVEMBER, 2023 (GPN): As a part of its Centenary celebrations, the Asthika Samaj temple in Matunga held the Vishwa Shanti Maha Yagnam ceremony on 27th November, 2023 .

Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar the world renowned spiritual leader was the chief guest and he received an overwhelming welcome from thousands of devotees
at the temple who were waiting for a glimpse of the much loved founder of the Art of Living Foundation . Gurudev Sri Sri Ravi Shankar performed the Poornahuthi and delivered a special Anugraha Bhashanam.

The Vishwa Shanti Maha Yagnam Ceremony comprising 11 Homams was performed by thirty- three learned purohits and scholars .

The rituals and mantras were offered for World Peace , Harmony, Wealth, Prosperity and Good Health. The Homams, were carried out in reverence to various deities like Lord Ganesha, Lord Shiva, Navagraha, Dhanvantri, Lord Kubera and Goddess Lakshmi among others. Karya Siddhi Homam aimed at the fulfilment of wishes and attainment of success and good health was also performed on the sacred day.
