MUMBAI, 16th MAY, 2023 (GPN): Years ago, Padmashree Vaidya Suresh Chaturvedi had expressed his belief that the 21st century would be the era of Ayurveda, which now seems to be getting fulfilled. This was recalled while unveiling the statue of Late Padmashri Vaidya Suresh Chaturvedi at his birth anniversary function held at the ‘Arogya Niketan’ (Ayurveda Hospital) in Vasai, Maharashtra.

On this occasion, Mahamandaleshwar Swami Shri Vidyanand Saraswati also inaugurated ‘Mrs Sudha Chaturvedi Hall’ in memory of Vaidya Suresh Chaturvedi’s wife, paid homage to Vaidya ji and narrated his memories.

While addressing the gathering Chief Guest Former Union Minister and Governor of Uttar Pradesh Shri Ram Naik said “I had a very close and cordial relationship with Vaidya Suresh Chaturvedi. Vaidaji’s aim was dedicated to the nation, that’s why he made every possible effort to take Ayurveda to the top position. In the year 1975, during the Emergency, Vaidaji had organized the first meeting of workers at ‘Arogya Niketan’ here”. Ram Naik suggested to the trustees that the book ‘Ayurveda and Cancer’ should be translated into other languages and published so that a maximum number of people can benefit from it.

Piyush Chaturvedi – Managing Trustee and Late Vaidya Chaturvedi’s son briefed the gathering on the various activities of the Sanstha. Vaidya Manoj Nesari – Advisor, Ministry of AYUSH, and Vaidya Rakesh Sharma, NCISM (Ministry of AYUSH) spoke about the progress made in Ayurveda medicine. He said that Ayurveda is considered to be the most effective medical system in today’s time. We have proved it in the time of Corona, due to which the credibility of Ayurveda has increased among the people.

Trustee Shrikant Chaturvedi welcomed the guests and expressed confidence that with the cooperation of every section of society, this institute would play a leading role in the field of Ayurvedic medicine.

Mrs. Kavita Khanna – wife of renowned actor Vinod Khanna told that the treatment prescribed by the doctors to her husband who was suffering from cancer was so painful that he went to spend the last days of his life in the shelter of Sri Sri Ravi Shankar. He had no hope left for his life. Then Vaidya Suresh Chaturvedi ji treated him and after two years of investigation, it was found that there are no symptoms of cancer in him.

Trustee Vaidya Mahendra Chaturvedi read the auspicious messages received on this occasion and expressed his gratitude to all.

The efficient operation of the program was done by Ashwini Kumar Joshi. In the ceremony, special associates of Arogya Niketan were appreciated for their work by giving letters of respect. On this occasion Prof. Kohli, Former Director, of the Ministry of AYUSH, D.
