MUMBAI, 7 JANUARY, 2O22 (GPN): Despite the warning from investors as they advised firms to “prepare for the worst” when COVID’s second wave started stirring friction in early 2021, the year pushed the Indian startup ecosystem to bring out its ace game. According to the data from insight platform, Tracxn, capital flowing to Indian startups soared to $39 billion in 2021, which is nearly three times from the previous best of $14.6 billion in 2019. The year 2021 marked several high points in India’s startup economy as nine tech startups got listed on the public market whereas, 44 new unicorns were introduced. India’s unicorn tally now stands at 83 and experts believe Indian startups’ 2021 performance chart will only go higher in the years to follow.
