MUMBAI, 25 SEPTEMBER, 2021 (GPN): The Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Mumbai has the honour to inform that in conjunction with the 76th Anniversary of the Independence of Indonesia and honouring the good relationship between Indonesia and India, the Mission wish to arrange a “Live Streaming” of Wayang Orang “Gana Kalajaya” on Saturday, 25th September 2021.

The performance is arranged in collaboration between the Consulate General of the Republic of Indonesia in Mumbai with Keraton Yogyakarta Palace and is supported by the Indonesian Embassy in New Delhi and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Indonesia. Wayang Orang “Gana Kalajaya” is one of the Palace’s Masterpiece which will be performed live from Yogyakarta Palace, Yogyakarta, Indonesia.

The Gana Kalajaya is especially performed in the month of September in conjunction with the Ganesha Festival in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Gana Kalajaya is a classic story on Gana / Ganesha in Indonesian version on the birth of Bhatara Gana and its glory as the symbol of knowledge.

The virtual performance starts on 17.30 IST (India Time) / 19.00 WIB (Indonesia Time) on Zoom and YouTube platform.
