Mumbai, 02nd September 2021 (GPN): Fujifilm India Pvt Ltd, a pioneer in healthcare and diagnosis technology, has announced their collaboration with India’s fitness guru and legendary style icon Milind Soman. The association is part of the Unity Run and is aimed at creating awareness among the masses, especially women about the importance of early diagnosis. As part of the collaboration, Milind Soman will be visiting the NM Medical Center in Mumbaito interact with Breast Radiologists and patients at the center and understand the reason for the growing number of breast cancer cases.
After 75 years of Independence, India faces a growing threat of undetected breast cancer in women. Breast cancers currently account for 14% of all cancers among women. Today, one in every 22 women in urban India and one in every 60 women in rural India is at risk of developing breast cancer in her lifetime. The number of breast cancer cases reported each year is unfortunately rising at higher rates than ever. To support the healthcare workers in this fight against the disease, Fujifilm India has installed the state-of-the-art AMULET Innovality 50 Micron 3D Mammography machine at the hospital.
Fujifilm India and Milind Soman have a firm commitment to make the world a healthier and fit place. To take this commitment further, Fujifilm India even collaborated and supported the Ironman Marathon runner during his “The Unity Run” from Mumbai to Statue of Unity, Gujarat as the healthcare-imaging partner. The visit to NM Medical Centre, is an extension of the Unity Run.
