Mumbai, 10 December, 2020 (GPN): The importance of nurses in the medical field is unique & immeasurable. In the current Covid-19 situation, the doctors and nurses were constantly working. Owing this Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh assured that the medical education department would follow up with the finance department to receive the allowable allowances for the nurses.

A meeting on the issues of nurses working under the Medical Education Department was held at the Ministry today under the chairmanship of Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh. The meeting was chaired by the Director of Medical Education, Dr. Tatyarao Lahane along with General Secretary of Maharashtra Government Nurses Federation Kamal Waykole and nurses from the Medical Education Department were present.

Stating that the nurses serve patients with this service-oriented attitude Medical Education Minister Shri. Deshmukh said that, Nurses are required to be receive allowances, laundry allowances and other incidental allowances from time to time.In such To get allowable allowances to nurses we will follow up with the finance department.

The Department of Medical Education will soon be recruiting in the cadre of nurses. Also, the materials, equipment and machinery required by the nurses in the hospital will be made available to all the institutions. The nurses need a number of Class IV staff as assistants, so the department was soon allowed to fill the Class IV vacancies through external mechanisms, clarified Mr. Deshmukh. ENDS
