Mumbai, November 05, 2020 (GPN): Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh during a visit at the Halfkin Training, Research and Testing Institute and the Halfkin Biopharmaceutical Corporation in Parel praised to the work done by Halfkin Corporation and Halfkin Institute in the Covid-19 period.

Secretary of Medical Education Department and Drugs Saurabh Vijay, Director in charge of Halfkin Institute Seema Vyas,General Manager (Production) of Halfkin Biopharmaceuticals Corporation Subhash Shankarrao,General Manager (Shopping) of Halfkin Dr. Kumbhar, Assistant Director of the Halfkin Institute Dr. Shashikant Vaidya and others were present on the occasion.

Medical Education Minister Amit Deshmukh said that,The Halfkin Institute has been working tirelessly for the past six months.The work done by those in the essential service is highly commendable.The Covid-19 testing lab here is open day and night by the Halfkin Institute.Because the Halfkin Corporation accepted medical materials and equipment in terms of Government from various donors and distributed them successfully to all government hospitals and medical colleges in the state, this work of them was also commended by him.

During today’s visit, the Medical Education Minister reviewed the activities of the Halfkin Biopharmaceutical Corporation which is an undertaking of the state government, and the production of various life-saving drugs.He also visited the ‘Halfkin Shopping Room’, and a pharma project that operates an updated system of the Halfkin Corporation and manufactures life-saving and generic drugs. Meanwhile, Shri. Deshmukh visited the Huffkin Institute’s Historical Museum. ENDS
