MUMBAI, October 9, 2020 (GPN): Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) organised its 2^nd Smart HR Summit over virtual platform.

Addressing the participants at Inaugural session Mr Rajiv Kapoor, Executive Director & CEO – Group HRM, Minda Industries Ltd said HR function has emerged to an era where it is now considered as core business function, it is now leading the change not just supporting the change process, further elaborating on the subject he said once new normal becomes normal, HR will have to redesign organisations with structure which are lighter nimble and agile.

Dr R K Mishra, Director, Institute of Public Enterprise in his special address said that HR has very wide conspectus and if we use full potential of HR we will emerges as leader. It’s time we should think of HR 5.0 further elaborating on the subject Dr Mishra said our job at the management level who are driving enterprise is to see how we can get best out of employees and best can come when everybody is best.

Mr Sushil Kumar Aggarwal, Chairman, Avro India Limited during address stressed that to emerge stronger from the COVID-19 crisis industry must work on reskilling their workforce.  

Technology is redefining the future of work, to produce a right work environment and better productivity in the current and post covid a blend of digital skills with unique human expertise and advanced technology is much needed said Mr Rajesh Sikka, Chairman-CII WUP Zone & Managing Director, Metaflex Doors India Pvt Ltd while delivering his opening remarks

Mr Sundeep Gupta, Vice Chairman-CII WUP Zone & Vice Chairman & Managing Director, Jakson Group in his closing remarks stated that HR have played important role during the lockdown and post lock down the role of HR will become more critical in driving the change.  

The Summit deliberated on the topics which includes Role of Human Resource During and Post-COVID Environment, – Importance of Digital Transformation in Current Scenario, Reinventing Workforce for Future Ready among others.
