Stanford Graduate School of Business Launches 7-day Free Course on Anti-Racism and Allyship

The course journey helps understand racism in the global context and
emphasises the importance of racial equity and justice.
Mumbai, 8 October 2020 (GPN): Stanford Graduate School of Business (GSB) today announced a free online course on Anti-Racism and Allyship to promote life-long learning and help learners to transform societies. The course will provide a 7-day journey for students, young professionals and educational fraternity across the nations who care about racial equity and
justice.

With the overarching principle of “Learn, Reflect, Act,” the course is created as a journey to help learners move from understanding to reflection to taking new actions. It covers racism in the US context, as well as themes designed to address the issue from a global perspective.

Stanford Graduate School of Business acknowledges topics, such as diversity, equity and inclusion, as well as themes related to gender, race and ethnicity that are complex and call for attention.

Sarah Soule, The Morgridge Professor of Organizational Behavior and Senior Associate Dean for Academic Affairs, Stanford Graduate School of Business, said, “As educators, we believe that change starts with learning. We also know that it is pertinent to internalise these learnings with
reflection. As concerned citizens, we believe that education is just the first step towards tackling the effects of centuries of systemic racism.”

The course is self-paced, with the learner required to spend 45 minutes a day for either a week or up to several weeks. It will also provide learners with access to additional resources and tools for continuing the learning journey after the completion of the course.
