1. *The Centre on Wednesday issued new Unlock 5.O guidelines* for opening up more activities in areas outside the containment zones. In these guidelines, which will come into effect from October 1, 2020, the process of re-opening of activities has been extended further.

2. *The Centre on Wednesday (September 30, 2020) issued new guidelines for opening up of more activities in areas outside the COVID-19 containment zones* and allowed the cinema halls, theatres, multiplexes, entertainment parks and similar places to reopen from October 15.

3. *Cinemas, theatres and multiplexes will be permitted to open with up to 50% of their seating capacity,* for which, SOP will be issued by Ministry of Information & Broadcasting shortly.

Delivering the much-awaited verdict in the 28-year-old Babri Masjid case, CBI judge S K Yadav did not accept newspapers and video cassettes as evidence.The case relates to the razing of the disputed structure in Ayodhya on December 6, 1992, which triggered riots for several months leaving nearly 2,000 people dead across the country.

5. The structure was demolished by ‘kar sevaks’ who claimed that the mosque in Ayodhya was built on the site of an ancient Ram temple.
The court also observed that late Vishwa Hindu Parishad leader Ashok Singhal wanted to save the structure because Ram idols were inside.

6. *Veteran Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Lal Krishna Advani welcomed the judgement by the special CBI court* which acquitted him and 31 other accused in the Babri mosque demolition case.

12. *Bollywood actors have condemned the gang-rape of a woman in Hathras, Uttar Pradesh,* demanding that the perpetrators are brought to justice. The woman died in a Delhi hospital. Actors Kangana Ranaut, Richa Chadha and Swara Bhasker have reacted to the death of Hathras gang-rape victim.

13. *Actor and producer Arbaaz Khan has filed a defamation case in a civil court in Mumbai* after defamatory claims were made in posts and online videos, alleging his involvement in the recent deaths of actor Sushant Singh Rajput and his manager Disha Salian. The Sushant Singh Rajput death is currently being investigated by three central agencies – Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI), Enforcement Directorate (ED) and Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB).
