NATIONAL, 22 SEPTEMBER, 2020 (GPN): September 26 is World Contraception Day, and there is no better time to create awareness on the importance of family planning in the lives of people around the world. It aims to improve awareness of contraception and enable people to make informed choices regarding sexual and reproductive health. 
 
The goal is to allow women to make informed choices about their reproductive health, in the hope that every pregnancy is a planned one. The access to preferred contraceptive methods for women and couples – is essential to securing the well-being and health of women.  Contraception should be appropriate, safe, and effective. The choice of contraception should be tailored to the individual woman and her medical history. In this Pandemic. While this Pandemic baby boomers have risen in India, a marginal number of women do not have access to safe contraceptives. ENDS
